Susan - Texas Lobbyist
Susan has been actively involved in the Texas politics for over 25 years.
Susan began her political career working on the campaign for Dan Shelley, which led to his win of the Texas House of Representatives seat in 1986.
Education
Susan is a graduate of the University of Texas A&M. She holds a Bachelor of science degree in Zoology. (1987-1992)
Professional
2004-present: Founder of an independent lobby firm.
- As a political consultant, Ross lobbies for her clients on a number of issues before the Texas Legislature and at state agencies
1996-2003: Industry lobbyist for various trade associations
- Lobbying for organizations to improve and strengthen their grassroots initiatives.
- Lobbying on variety of issues that included insurance, utilities, gambling, municipal court actions, child care, health care, pharmaceutical drugs, appropriations, taxes, and housing.
1994-1998: Aide for Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate
- Prior to her Lobby experience, Ross worked intermittently as an aide in both the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate.
